Initial Site Settings

After installing and on the very first startup of this product, please configure the following.

Please configure the settings for the items marked with *.

Site Environment

• Site Name
  Please enter the site name identifying this site managed by ActiveVisor.

• Site Location
  Use comments to describe the site location where this ActiveVisor is located.

• Network Type Please specify the network type for ActiveVisor to operate. When selecting Active Directory for network type, ActiveVisor behaves as follows.

• ActiveVisor retrieves domain member computers’ information from Active Directory and register itself in ADSI Editor.

• ActiveImage Protector clients as Domain member access ActiveVisor registered with ADSI editor.

Administrator’s Passphrase

When you selected Active Directory for Network Type, you have to configure the settings to register passphrase. The passphrase entered here is used to manage the domain member clients added from Active Direcotory. When configuring the settings for passphrase, you have to be authenticated as domain Administrator or an account in Domain Admins group.

The account used here will not be saved in the product.

Network Discovery Option

• Ignore Active Directory Computer entries that did not update in last xx days The computers added from Active Direcotory but do not meet the criteria are excluded from the candidates to add to the computer list.

• Perform Full Network Discovery every xx day(s) at xx Network Discovery is performed at the specified day of a week / time. When you select [None], Network Discovery is not performed.
