System Requirements

Hardware

• CPU
  CPU with at least 4 cores is recommended.

  During replication of image files created using Deduplication Compression in ActiveImage Protector, CPU usage may increase depending on the state of Inter-File Deduplication. {: .alert .alert-info }

• Main Memory
  16GB or more is required.

  32 GB or more is recommended, because when data writing to a bucket is delayed, the data in wait for writing are cached to memory.

  When performing Consolidation of image files created with Deduplicatin Compression option enabled in ActiveImage Protector or downloading items using Image Browser, memory usage may increase significantly depending on the state of Inter-File Deduplication.

• Hard Disk
  200 MB or more available disk space is required.

  A separate storage is required as the destination savig backup image files.

• Cache Device
  You are recommended to use a cache device when the backup data amount received from ActiveImage Protector client exceeds the write speed to the storage in which a bucket is created.

  The use of a device faster than the network interface used for receiving backup data enables you to suppress the decrease in the backup process speed on ActiveImage Protector client.

• Others
  When installing the product in cloud instance, please allow the following ports in the inbound settings.

  • UDP 58240

Operating System

• Windows 10 / 11（x64）
• Windows Server 2016 or later Windows Server OS

In the environment where a user account control feature is enabled, you will get a message prompting you to allow execution of the program. If you encounter this case, please select [Allow] and proceed with the wizard operation.

Others

• Intel/AMD based system is supported. Intel Itanium (IA-64) based system is not supported.

• Only Replication and BootCheck support Version 302 Image files created by using ActiveImage Protector Version 7.5.x or earlier and password is set.
