Creating a Restore Optical Disk with Rapid Deploy Plus

Compatibility and Requirements

Only Deploy USB media created with a Rapid Deploy Plus license can be used to create a Restore Optical Disk. ActiveImage Deploy USB-created media is not supported.

The license key for the source Deploy media must be registered prior to creating a Restore Optical Disk.

The source Deploy USB media must be created using Version 5.0.0 or later and contain an image also created with Deploy USB media Version 5.0.0 or later.

Ensure the target computer system has more available space than the master image file size intended for embedding in the Restore Optical Disk.
When logged in as a Windows standard user, right-click on the product icon and select [Run as administrator] to launch the wizard.

Creation Process

Start the Wizard: Launch the wizard and select [Create Restore Optical Disk].

Insert Source Deploy USB Media: Connect the source Deploy USB media to your computer.
Select the source media and click [OK]. Ensure the master image is embedded in the source media.

Prepare Writable Blank Media: Insert writable blank media into the optical drive. Supported formats include DVD-R, DVD-R DL, DVD-RW, BD-R, BD-R DL, and BD-RE.

Drive Selection: The wizard auto-selects an optical drive when connected.

Volume Label: Assign a label to the recovery disk. For multiple media, labels are numbered automatically.

Verify Disk: Optionally verify the disk after writing, which will extend the process time.

Automatic Media Creation: Setting a blank disk triggers automatic media creation.
Configure restore settings as needed, including options to automatically start the restore process after a set time, enlarge volume sizes, and rearrange the order of disks for restoration.

Start the Creation: Click [Start] to begin. If the optical media lacks sufficient capacity for all data, it will be split across multiple disks of the same format and capacity.
