Product Usage Restrictions and Updates

The ActiveImage Deploy USB license is not permitted for use with this product.

Updates are downloaded automatically upon launching the console window. For updates to apply:
- Create or update Deploy Media.
- Connect the Deploy Media to the computer running ImageCast Server. If eligible, you’ll be prompted to download update files upon launching the console.
USB Media Creator Wizard

The size of the backup image file varies based on the used space of the source system. Ensure your USB device has enough space.

Only supports the creation of USB media on 64-bit operating systems; 32-bit is not supported.

You can include device drivers for Windows PE-based OS versions in the boot environment, though some drivers may fail to be included.

Using a Preset USB Configuration created on another computer is not supported.

The auto system recovery option is disabled during the conversion to restore disk; if the console crashes, re-enable it manually.
-
Cancellation of the conversion to restore disk process may prolong the operation.
-
Assigning a drive letter to the Image Data partition in Deploy USB media via Disk Manager on Windows Server 2019 or Windows 10 may result in errors; if so, retry after reconnecting the media.

Remove the USB media only after all processes are completed on all devices.

Cascading USB hubs is not recommended.

Automatic drive letter assignment to the SYSTEM partition may occur; if it does, reassign the drive letter using Disk Manager after reconnecting the media.

Updates cannot be downloaded via a proxy server; download them directly from Actiphy’s website.

Ensure the backup source disk has valid volumes (file system).

Backing up exFAT volumes performs a full sector backup.
-
USB devices larger than 2TB are not supported for creating USB media.

When using USB or SSD, please use the latest version of Windows ADK to create Deploy media.

When launching the console window in the environment where a network is not available to access Actiphy Activation Server, it may take a while until the console window is displayed in Japanese.
Boot Environment

BIOS boot is not supported.

The Deploy/Restore features require using the built-in wizard; manually copied backup image files are not supported.

Deploying/restoring to a hard disk smaller than the backup source disk, or to a system with a different number of hard disks, will fail.

Ensure only one Deploy/Restore media is connected to the target computer during operation.

Supports environments with up to two connected disks. If a Restore task is canceled mid-process, reboot from the media and restart the task.

When using Windows RE to build the Boot Environment, select the language from the OS install media to avoid font issues.
Additional Notes
- If the backup source includes a Microsoft BitLocker encrypted volume, a full sector backup of the encrypted volume is performed.
