USB Media Creator Wizard

When creating a backup image file by using the created media, the created image file size is increased / decreased depending on the used space of the source computer system. Ensure the USB device has sufficient available space.

Only 64-bit OS is supported to create USB media. 32-bit OS is not supported to create USB media.

You can select the device drivers supporting Windows PE-based OS versions to include in Windows PE-based boot environment.

Building a USB media may fail to include some type of device driver.

The use of a Preset USB Configuration created/saved on other computer is not supported.

When auto system recovery option is enabled, this option is disabled while converting to restore disk. When the console crashes and the option is disabled, please manually enable the auto system recovery option.

When cancelling conversion to restore disk process, the process time may increase until cancellation operation completes.

When assigning a drive letter by using Disk Manager to Image Data partition in the Deploy USB memory created on Windows Server 2019 or Windows 10, you may get “Wrong parameter” or “The specified file could not be found” message. When you get this problem, please plug in the media and try again.

When creating media, please remove the created media when the entire processes have completed on all devices.

You are not recommended to cascade USB hub.

When connecting the created USB media to the source computer, the system may automatically assign a drive letter to the boot partition (SYSTEM) in media. In this case, please connect the another device after disconnecting the media. Then, assign a drive letter that was assigned to SYSTEM by using Disk Manager and reconnect the media again.

If you used a proxy server for internet access for activating Actiphy’s product, you cannot download update files. Please access Actiphy’s Web site and download update files via Web browser.

Please prepare backup source disk with valid volumes (file system).

When backing up exFAT volume, full sector backup (for both base and incremental backup) is performed.
- 2TB USB device is not supported to use for creating USB media.
Boot Environment

BIOS boot is not supported.

Deploy/Restore features do not support the backup image files copied to Deploy/Restore media without using the wizard built in this product.

Deploying/restoring the master image file to a hard disk smaller than the backup source disk fails.

Deploying/restoring the master image file to the target computer fails if the number of the hard disks configured in the master image file and the target computer differs.

When attaching multiple Deploy / Restore media to a target computer, deploying/restoring the master image to the target computer fails. Please make sure that only one Deploy / Restore media is attached to the computer before proceeding with further operation.

Deploy / Restore features support the environment where up to two disks are connected. When the Restore task is cancelled in the midst of the restore process, please boot up from the media and run the task again.

When building Boot Environment by using Windows RE, you are recommended to select the language from the OS install media. If you select other language than the one selectable on the OS install media, a garbled font may appear.
Others
- If a Microsoft BitLocker encrypted volume is included in the backup source for the master image, a full sector backup of the encrypted volume is taken.
