Overview
-
If there are no unprocessed image files at the scheduled date and time, a skip log will be recorded in Event Log.
-
New backup image files added while image processing is in progress will be processed at the next schedule.
-
If multiple tasks are configured for the items of which multiple image sets are included in the processing, and [Immediate] is selected for the schedule, multiple skip logs may be output. This is caused because the task starts immediately after an image file in one image set is created. Each task processes the images that exist at the scheduled start time. Therefore, after execution of every task type, if unprocessed image file is detected after the first task, processing of the image files will start again. At that point, the task that processed currently existing latest image file during the first execution detects no target image files and outputs a skip log.
-
When installing to a location other than the default path, please do not specify a path containing double-byte characters. If installing to a path containing double-byte characters, Web console connection will fail to be established.
-
The combined use with ActiveImage Protector post-backup processing workflow or Actiphy ImageCenter may cause unexpected result. Please be careful about the timing of the task execution.
-
Actiphy ImageCenter and this product can be installed in the same environment, however, it’s not recommended because consistency of the processing cannot be guaranteed. If both products use the same folder/image set, please make sure that the both processing do not conflict by scheduling the tasks at different times.
-
When accessing the site with a web browser that restricts connections to websites using self-signed certificates, such as Firefox, the “SSL Certificate Required” dialog will appear unless the server certificate contains the following.
https://localhost:52337Follow the instructions in the dialog, then, [localhost:52337] is added to the browser’s server certificate exceptions, allowing information such as events to be updated in real time.
-
In the [Retention Status] column of the item list in console window, the status of the base image file (*.AIV) in the source image set is displayed as the status of the image set.
If Legal Hold (litigation hold) is set on this file, the status of image set is shown as Legal Hold, even when Legal Hold is not set to some incremental image files within the image set.
The lock period for those incremental image files is extended on the storage, however, it will not be reflected to the information displayed in this product.
Replication
-
Replication tasks are executed in sequential order. When multiple image files exist in the target folder, the process time may take longer until the entire process completes.
-
Do not select the folder created in replication target as the destination with ActiveImage Protector. When [Keep target items the same with source] option is enabled for Replication Policy, the image file will be deleted in Replication process.
-
When WebDAV is selected as replication target, the progress of the task processing is not indicated in percentage in Task List / Item List.
-
Backup image files in hidden folders are not processed.
